Ubuntu

A week ago, GNOME released their latest Operating System, Ubuntu 9.10. Yup and I installed it, reason being I need a fully functioning Linux OS to continue on my quest for total world domination. yup. Cygwin was a total crap, virtual machines aren't that powerful and LiveCDs are limited. So I jumped at Ubuntu. I partitioned a portion of my hard drive (10GB) for it. And I was pleasantly surprised to know that I could in fact access my whole WinXP drive from Ubuntu. Wow! Could even manage to delete certain undeletable folders in WinXP. Besides, I love the graphical capabilities of Ubuntu, which I would say it beat Vista's Aero, rivalling the Mac. The only thing GNOME could improve on is the energy efficiency of this OS. It's very power hungry! Eats roughly 10% more per hour compared to WinXP. It's always running on AC nowadays.
