What do you think you have to offer to this relationship?I was reading thru my friend's blog the other day and stumbled upon that question. A very valid question that every couple/aspiring ones should ask themselves. Going beyond the generic answers such as: friendship and companionship, what can Christian couples offer to the other partner in a BGR? After all, courtship is a preparation for the possibility of marriage. Who in their right mind enters courtship without the end of marriage in their mind? That's just plain immature for someone to think of serving mainly themselves as a basis for entering into a relationship. I think of the short movie clip made by WongFu Productions entitled Strangers again. Where they mentioned that every relationship only goes two directions, towards marriage or break-up. I hope I'm making sense to you so far..
Let's talk about Christians yea? What can someone offer to the other in a healthy relationship? For the guys, I guess we can expect them to be leading their partners to grow more and more Christ like. To offer Christian leadership - some would say. So if my spiritual life isn't strong yet, I don't have hopes of leading another less I lead them astray. Having said that, I look at myself and conclude that I'm so not ready yet..
